My Experience
Snowboarding
My first time snowboarding was in Gadauri, Georgia. We went in March of 2024 that was perfect season for snowboarding. It was not very crowded and we constantly tracked the snow report in the area using this site. It was a great for me as a beginner. There are also red and black lines for intermediate and advance snowboarders but we mostly enjoyed the blue lines.
Reaching the Resort
We lander in Tbilisi airport and decided to buy a temporary simcard at the airport for wifi and calling. We landed in the evening therefore we decided to take a cab directly to Gadauri. In retrospect we should have pre-booked our cab because the snow made it difficult to hire a taxi who was willing to ride in the snow mountains late at night. It took us 2.5hours to reach our hotel. We also exchange some cash on our way. We had pre-booked our hotel for the entire stay and that was a great decision. When we checked out from the hotel they were kind enough to keep our bags while we snowboarded the mountain the last time.
Hotel

The hotel we stayed in was called Gogi ski resort, Gadauri. It was a great hotel with amazing hospitality. It was affordable but well equipped with blower and storage. It was 2 mins walk away from the ski resort so we would eat breakfast, grab our gear and leave for snowboarding. Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Leisure
When we were not snowboarding, we would just relax in the room and enjoy watching Netflix. It was heavy snowfall time so going outside wasn’t my favorite activity. For dinner we would usually go to the nearest diners and enjoy the local cuisine and music.
Tbilisi
We wanted to spend one night in the capital city. So we decided to checkout the Gadauri hotel, snowboard one more time and leave to Tbilisi by the afternoon from the taxi arranged by the hotel. We reached Tblisi and stayed in a small shared apartment. It was just one night stay so we didn’t book the fanciest place. Next morning we explored the neighborhood, went to dry bridge market to buy some souvenirs. In the evening we went out for drinks and bar-hopped around the city. The best bar place was for amazing variety of craft beers were seven roads Seven Roads.
If you are planning to visit Georgia but do not plan to visit Gadauri for skiing, you can still enjoy the cheap food and historical places. I would highly getting a guided tour for immersive local experience.
